Flowerpot VP1 Pendant Soft Green - u0026Tradition 20705101

Description

It consists of two hemispheres, one floating above the other. The lamp was designed by Verner Panton, who was clearly influenced by the Flower Power movement of the 1960’s and 1970’s. If you’re riding the retro wave, a Flowerpot is a must. Hang this pendant over a coffee or dining table to illuminate an important gathering point in the home. The smaller hemisphere hides the lamp’s light source, while the larger – which is precisely twice as big as its partner – serves as the lamp’s shade. Society’s growing interest in welfare, self-care and connecting with the natural world is reflected in the increasing use of natural colours in interior decorating – and this soft shade of green is a perfect accompaniment. The pendant is equipped with a 3-metre fabric-covered cable, which both completes the sophisticated look and gives you the flexibility to hang this lamp at exactly the height you need. As a tribute to this drive for change he captured the spirit of the era, when peace, love and harmony were in focus and the Flower Children rebelled against the previous generation’s materialism and traditional norms. See both Flowerpot lamps in Soft Green here. The colour fits into current trends with their focus on wellness and mental health. Use one on its own, or several hung in a cluster at different heights, to bring atmospheric lighting to a dark corner. Flowerpot’s design is simple and symmetric and has earned its reputation as a design classic.
