For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs. Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift.
